Finding the perfect balance in life can be tricky. There are a few things to keep in mind when seeking total wellness – that is health for both the body and the mind. The most important aspect is wisdom.
Some people associate the word wisdom with intelligence and while there is an active link to levels of intelligence it is not intelligence that spawns wisdom but rather the other way around. Using wisdom increases intelligence.
While wisdom would seem connected to only the health of the mind, it is elemental in all aspects of wellness. Seeking wisdom and using common sense in everything we do has an impact on every aspect of our being.
Developing wisdom is a skill and must be worked at. The ability to learn is something most people are born with, but developing that ability is a skill. As we rush through our daily lives we often times forget to concentrate on learning from our experiences. Keeping the desire to gain knowledge from every situation at the forefront of our thoughts is the only way to develop the skill of wisdom.
When we are consistent in our goals for obtaining wisdom it is possible to see the wealth of experience around us and grow in both mental and physical health for a state of complete wellness.
Having a total state of wellness demands that we use wisdom in every aspect of our lives. This includes providing the proper diet to allow our bodies to function, exercising properly to help maintain our body’s condition, to giving ourselves the proper environment for good mental health which includes lowering levels of stress when possible.
All of these things combined provides an environment where we can prosper and gain wealth not only of an economic nature, but of all of our available resources.
